[Yo Dawg] Motorola Updates The OTA Update Services App In Advance Of A Future Lollipop Update For The 2013 Moto G
I hear you like updates. Well, here’s an update to your Motorola Update Services app that will eventually enable the Lollipop update, whenever Motorola gets around to finishing it.
This app update will only show up for versions of the 2013 Moto X that need additional OTA support. Once it’s updated, you may continue to play the waiting game. It won’t immediately change anything on your phone.
Despite announcing the rollout of Lollipop for the 2014 Moto X, there are still a few versions of that phone to finish. Motorola has said the 2013 Moto X will get the update too, but there’s no firm timeline. Maybe the OTA services upgrade will come as a small comfort, but at least something is happening.
