Unclouded Hits Version 2.0 With Updated Design, Support For Box And One Drive, And More

As time progresses, I find myself with more and more cloud storage to manage. Typically, I try to stick with Google Drive and Dropbox but increasingly – despite their fairly intuitive interfaces – managing the actual files that fill up my storage space seems like a hassle. Luckily, there’s an app that makes my storage situation as clear as I could hope – Unclouded.

Christian Göllner’s Unclouded, if you missed our coverage at launch, is an app that helps “explore, analyze and clean your cloud storage.” It hit version 2.0 today, with a long list of new features and improvements.

Besides support for Box and Onedrive, the app has new premium features including a dark theme and security options allowing users to protect their info with a PIN, password, or pattern. Earlier premium features are now free, too.

Users can also download files to their device in version 2.0, and Unclouded can now accept files from other apps. Besides that, there’s support for animated GIF images (no matter how you pronounce it), and some behind-the-scenes improvements to memory management and image loading.

What users will probably notice right off the bat, though, is the app’s updated design. The hallmarks of the app’s experience are still present, but tweaks have been made to certain elements to add depth, continuity, and some material goodness. The “duplicates” screen has received a more substantial makeover, with collapsible items that make dealing with dupes a little easier.

If you’re not already loving Unclouded, now is a great time to check it out. The update should be readily available on the Play Store by now, so hit the widget below.
